This is a story, well a thought that was written by my eldest sister, Bobbie. It was printed in the newspaper in the city she lives in, and her Sunday school teacher read it to their class. She sent it to me and it touched me so deeply that I asked for her permission to place it on this page for visitors to my site to read. Hopefully it will change the minds of some of you out there as to what this world is losing whenever a precious little life is lost to abortion, and if it touches just one young expectant mother out there enough to change her mind about having an abortion, it will be well worth it.
God bless you,
Connie "SweetGeorgiaPeach"
Recently, I was sitting on my swing enjoying the cool fall day when I noticed an acorn caught in the slats of the swing. I reached down, picked it up and put it in the palm of my hand.
All brown and round, it looked like it had a cap on. I recalled something I once heard. It goes like this: There is a whole tree inside this little acorn, with roots, trunk, limbs and leaves. If you do not believe this, put it in a flower pot, sit it outside, water it and watch it grow. Given enough time, it will prove itself. It will prove it exists.
It's the same with the seed you buy at the store. To the man at the store, they only represent nickels and dimes. But you hold a miracle in your hands: roots, trunk, limbs, leaves and flowers that are yet to bloom, if given enough time.
The same goes for embryos that some people want to destroy. Just because you
can't see him or her does not mean a child does not exist. Given the time, the
child will prove it does exist. It's just a miracle, trying to unfold.
